I've just accepted the initial upload in to proposed-updates (pending the
next dinstall actually processing the accept request).
For future reference, it's appreciated if you send the debdiff and an
explanation of the change to the SRMs (via debian-release@l.d.o) and check
that we're happy to accept the changes before uploading.
