On this page http://blog.langex.net/index.cgi/Vietnam/dsl_broadband.html 
you will find some Vietnamese words on the first two bulleted lines on 
the subject of "account ID" and "password". I edited this pyBlosxom blog 
entry using kate. When I pasted the Vietnamese words into kate (with 
utf-8 encoding selected) all of the letter 'a' with the additional 
markings on them, four in all, were rendered as little boxes in kate. 
The only 'a' that was visible was the unmarked one in the word 'ban'. As 
you can see from the final web page, the characters stored in the text 
file are correct. kate's rendering is not.
