This one drives me really crazy, I have apparently screwed up
something in my mimelnk database and now I just cannot for the
world associate PDF files with Graphics/KPDF. Whenever I do it,
association dialog dutifuly updates settings (dialog with
thermomether is going all the way), but then when I click on .pdf
file in Konqueror (or Krusader, but that doesn't matter) I get
error message saying that kdeinit cannot launch
'nameofthefile.pdf'.

I can associate /usr/bin/kpdf with .pdf file directly (in the
dialog box check "Use this application always"), but then I get
kpdf item in the root of my K-menu.

I guess that this is close to be INVALID/WORKSFORME, but do you
have at least any idea, what might be wrong and how to clean up
my configuration, please?

THanks a lot,

Matěj

P.S.: Just to be sure, using kdpf 3.5.3 from testing.

I am really sorry, but due to changing job I had to switch both my
distribution (see my From: address ;-)) and desktop environment to
Gnome. Therefore, I cannot help you anymore.

Best,

Matěj Cepl
