Package: kmail
Severity: normal

hi, i am setting up a Debian / SE/Linux (unstable) system so i have
kde 3.2.2 installed.

permission to create a file /var/mail/lkcl.lock is banned, and i do
not believe it sensible to grant access to that directory just to
create a lock file!

therefore i tried FCNTL instead.

and... it doesn't work, because the command "lockfile" doesn't exist.

so i did apt-get install lockfile-progs (which should be a dependency
on kmail, shouldn't it? i dunno) but there doesn't appear to be a
command lockfile in that package, only lockfile-create and stuff.

help?

l.

kmail recommends procmail, that provides the necessary lockfile
command.
