Package: juk
Version: 4:3.2.2-1
Severity: important
I am using Juk as my music player since 4 months. For some reason it
won't start now. When I launch it, there's no crash. Two processes stay
alive, but the Juk window doesn't come up, neither does the systray
icon. So it's unusable. I have absolutely no idea why it doesn't start
NOW, the only thing I did in the last session is to play songs. If I
start juk at the command line, nothing is printed. I used Synaptic to
reinstall juk with no improvement. I am not sure what means reinstall
for Synaptic though, and I didn't purge it because huge packages depend
on it (kde, kdemultimedia).

This can be closed...I was blind enough to not realize the sound was not
working at that time. Something about artsd. Now that it's restarted,
Juk and the rests works again. About the (lack of) feedback from Juk, it
seems to be normal. kaboodle, noatun also get processes in the
background with no feedback when artsd is malfunctioning.
sorry
