Bug#233151: Me too
I had the same problem since I installed a 20040612 snapshot of Sarge.
I don't really know what's the preemptive patch, but I never fiddled
with the stock 2.6.6-1-k7 kernel until I installed the nvidia drivers,
and I had the bug before. Someone recently made me realize it might be a
better idea to use arts. I don't think I got the bug since.
All this bug report doesn't mention that while Juk is freezed, it's a
piece of cake to crash it if you're not friendly with it.
My impression about how to reproduce that bug was that you had to ask to
play a song while the song that was already playing was just started
(maybe in the first 10 seconds).
Example : Open juk, start a song (here it can't freeze), then realize
you selected the wrong one, click on another one, get freeze. [Continue
to click, get crash.]
My X priority is 0.
I *currently* can't reproduce because Juk wont start...I'm about to
report that too :/
