Package: kopete
Version: 4:3.3.0-2
Severity: minor
chat window: most people do not want to press send button for sending
msg. Press Intro key instead.
- For hackers: people used to work just with keyborad find really
annoying having to move hand from keyb to mouse for each message.
- For normal users: Most im clients behave this way so it is really
weird having to press mouse button for have msg delivered.
This is why default behaviour of kopete chat window is strange and
some option to change it could be higly recommended. Perhaps a checkbox
next to send button to enable "Intro key sending" or some kopete configuration
option. The first alternative seems useful in case you want to send a
multiline message from time to time, this way you could quickly
operation mode.

help:/kopete/faq.html#id2492487 (2nd question)
In every KDE application, you can change very easily the shortcuts you want=
=20
for this application, or for the whole desktop.
Some people don't like the default "ctrl+enter" as the shortcut for sending=
,=20
but be aware that, for example, kmail, behaves this way, so for consistency=
,=20
every app should behave the same way.
