Bug#267105: kicker: Clock applet doesn't show date when asked

I've noticed that when you update (as root) the timezone using that
configure dialog (the "Adjust Date & Time..." one), the clock applet
does not immediatly update to the new timezone. you'll have to restart
kde.
maybe that's your problem?
