My totem encountered some problem. I use Gnome2.6 desktop envrionment. Totem will report segmentation fault when I enable the sound server, esd. If esd is shutdowned, everything is OK. I also tried the xine-gstreamer package, and it can work properly.

Known problem with libarts. Xine should probably be built without arts
support until this is fixed. Or at least, it should be made such as
esound is tried before arts. If arts is initialized with esd running, it
crashes with some sound cards (those without hardware multiplexing).
This problem is already quite common with SDL applications.
