I also see kdm failing after entering the login info.  In my kdm log I
see this:

Note xdm and startx work just fine, and the setup was working before the
kdm 3.2.2 was installed (3.1.5 worked).

I am using ldap logins for most users, but even a local user can't login
using kdm at the moment.
