package: tracker.debian.org
severity: normal
Similar to #891504, emails sent directly to a package tracker address,
for example chromium-browser@tracker.debian.org, are discarded instead
of being relayed to those subscribed (to the 'contact' keyword).
Other than this bug, <package>@tracker.debian.org as the maintainer
field has so far worked well.
Best wishes,
Mike

This never worked with tracker.debian.org and I don't intend to make it
work either. As Mattia told, the official contact point for maintainers
of a given package is <source>@packages.debian.org.

I would also like to have this. But you also don't want to generate bounce
for spam so this must really be done right when we get the RCPT TO
command.
Unfortunately, it's not entirely trivial because the exim configuration
uses "-" as separator and not the "+" that I am using in
"team+foo@tracker.debian.org" or "bounces+...@tracker.debian.org"
so I have to use .forward-default to get all the mails that I want to
receive but which also means that all email address are accepted.
I just opened an RT ticket with DSA to try to fix this (rt.debian.org
#7283). I'm not sure if I had already requested it or not.
If we can have "+" as local_part_suffix for tracker.debian.org, then I
should be able to use .forward-team and .forward-bounces and drop
.forward-default. Hopefully the invalid email addresses would then be
rejected.
Cheers,
