The problem is that the rss feed contains files (that are not visibles
under the download section https://sourceforge.net/projects/rpcbind/files/)
under an OldFiles directory
The redirector just reflects what SF provides via RSS:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/rpcbind/rss?limit=10000000000000000000

Shouldn't the redirector ignore these files that are not visible on the
download page? (OldFiles seems to be somehow standardized name for
deleted? files)
Other projects don't use that name:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/chromium-bsu/rss?limit=10000000000000000000

The files are definitely there according to this:

$ rsync -r --list-only frs.sourceforge.net:/home/frs/project/rpcbind/

The files can also be downloaded via the web interface.

For a lot of project that OldFiles directory is definitely not showing up in the default download page

https://www.google.be/search?q=sourceforge+%22oldfiles%22

I'll try to find a way to workaround that in the watch file then
