Did you mean the problem was on the link to the NEW package? In that
case, the information from there might have been incorrect.
(I believe there is no such error in the packages from the main archive.)

These options are evil, and will overwrite fields in the generated
.changes/.dsc/.deb files. Personally, I use dpkg-buildpackage -uc -us
and then manually sign with debsign.
