Package: qa.debian.org Severity: normal Maintainer name is displayed incorrectly when it containes non-ascii characters (in comments that are displayed when placing mouse pointer over version number of a pacage). This can be seen on my maintainer's page (http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=eugen@debian.org), for latest versions of fntsample, kdrill and systemtap. Relevant HTML is: <td rowspan="1" colspan="2"><span class="testing" title="testing: 21 Mar 2008 by ÐвгенÑй ÐеÑеÑÑков <eugen@debian.org>">1.7-10</span></td> -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-rc1 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=uk_UA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=uk_UA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash

I'm now working around this by setting client_encoding = latin1 for the database. The script will break even more badly when the database is fixed :) Christoph -- cb@df7cb.de | http://www.df7cb.de/Attachment: signature.asc
