What means huge here, once piped through | tar | bzip2 -9 ? Because a mirror
of the source last about 5Go, which I don't have on my box.

I could dream of making the l10n.xml generation script, and run only it on
my box. There is no need to have the source packages locally for that since
the extraction is already done [by the webpages generation scripts].

Even a not updated snapshot somewhere on internet could ease this work for a
non-DD like me...
