This is the same old "uncaught exception" bug, but now it sports an error
about use of an uninitialized value. I will send the logs to you by private

ERROR: dpkg-mountable has detected an error in a package
which was not installed during the current run. This almost
certainly means that dpkg exited with an error code, but failed
to give a summary of the problems it encountered. Please check
the log file /var/log/dpkg-mountable to confirm this.

If this is case but you cannot tell why dpkg failed to produce
this list, please do not file a bug, but send the logfile
(including logs for both this run and the preceding one) to the
maintainer, Andy Mortimer <andy.mortimer@poboxes.com>. If you
work out why it happened, I would very much like to know!

dpkg-mountable has been removed from Debian unstable and won't be
released with the next official release of Debian, codenamed "woody".

The original maintainer writes:

| * I can no longer test new versions of this package, as I'm using
| apt-zip rather than my not-free dialup access. I wrote it when I
| was accessing the University's NFS archive mirror!
|
| * It's slightly buggy, and badly out-of-date policy-wise.
|
| * Apt now provides (AFAIK) all the features provided by
| dpkg-mountable, and some (such as package ordering) that it never
| got around to getting.

Please switch to apt.

If you have questions about this, please contact me.
