Hi,

please replace

arch=$(shell dpkg --print-architecture)
...
ifeq ($(arch),i386)

with

DEB_HOST_GNU_CPU := $(shell dpkg-architecture -qDEB_HOST_GNU_CPU)
...
ifeq ($(DEB_HOST_GNU_CPU),i386)

to support dpkg-architecture and the Hurd. BTW, the LINUX subdirectory is a
misnomer, it works for all i386 platforms, not only linux.

Thanks,
Marcus
