HELP needed for lavaps bugs.

# Lavaps has some serious bugs. I do not feel it is ready for release.
# I am upping their severity; the whole package can be removed from
# potato if these bugs are not fixed -- don't let them hold up the
# release.
#
# These bugs seem to need more time to fix than I have. This is a
# public cry for help. Please help me. (And sorry for the cross-posting)
#
#
# Bug#49828 concerns a memory leak that only occurs on Debian.
# The upstream does not have access to a Debian box, and has not been
# able to find anything relevant in the debug logs I have sent him.
# Fixing this probably requires knowledge about tcl, which I don't have.

# Bug#49787 concerns the fact that lavaps uses a non-free program
# tcl2cc by Xerox. Here's what the upstream responded on it:
#
#	I looked at that message. I will contact the autors and see if the
#	license can resoved.
#
# There has, however, been little or no communication after that,
# and I really have quite little time to spend on this currently..

#
# You have my permission to do NMUs of lavaps if you wish to.
# This is both for you and the BTS:
thanks
# ;)
