Bug#1087967: RM: tss2 -- RoQA; Outdated, unmaintained, low popcon

Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: ftp.debian.org@packages.debian.org
Usertags: remove
X-Debbugs-Cc: tss2@packages.debian.org, debian-efi@lists.debian.org
Control: affects -1 + src:tss2

Hi!

I was prodded by a Linux EFI developer who was surprised that we have
such an old version of the IBM TSS code. It's causing him some hassle,
so I volunteered to take a look.

tss2 only ever had 1 maintainer upload, back in 2017, and has just
been kept on life support by NMU ever since. It's not a particularly
important package AFAICS, with no rdeps that I can see?

There is another implementation of TSS by Intel (tpm2-tss) which is
maintained much more, so let's drop tss?

Cheers,

Steve
