Package: madman
Version: 0.93.0-3
Severity: wishlist

For various reasons, I run madman on multiple machines and copy its
database back and forth. Occasionally, I forget to save and exit madman
on one machine. Unfortunately, right now, there appears to be no way to
force a running madman process to save its database without having access
to the window manager in which it's running. (I don't know if the HTTP
server can do this; that's not really the best solution for my situation.)

It would be great if madman could acquire a SIGHUP handler that would save
the database before exiting so that I can log on to the system where I
left madman running and kill -HUP the process safely.

You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/318129 in Debian BTS
against the package madman. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/384397. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
