Re: RFS: dict-freedict -- Freedict dictionary packages

Hi,

First of all thanks to Kestutis (Sorry for name's spelling, I am using
ISO-8859-15 on this computer) for his work on this package.

I was about to upload Kestutis Biliunas package, when I saw recent
activities in the BTS. That's why I am sending this email.

Do not worry if I set my name as uploader, so that it's easy for me to
track packages I am sponsoring.

Is upstream always active ? I saw that tarball where build in 2003. Ok,
languages do not evolve quickly, but I wonder if typoes are fixed or not
upstream.

Did you send your patches about utf-8 upstream ? I think that your way
to build the package address all the problem described in BR like
#222853, Michael or Bob, do you argree with my statement about that point?

What about those typo ? Did you forward it upstream ?

It looks like perfect to me. Kestutis, please take the time to discuss
on the bug tracking system. I am not sure that Michael was aware that
you were working on this package. Wnpp bugs are not reported in the same
category. I think we should improve it.

I'll upload the package in 7 days if nobody objects. I add some bugs in
blind carbon copy. (Those that adress issues with encoding)

The packages are available on kebil's repository at
http://kebil.ghost.lt/debian/pool/freedict/

deb http://kebil.ghost.lt/ debian/
deb-src http://kebil.ghost.lt/ debian/

Cheers,
