Bug#269675: GNUstep preferences.app segfault on 386

Hello, 

This is to report the same behavior on sid i386 as reported by
Sebastien:

/usr/bin/preferences: line 9: 20490 Erreur de segmentation  openapp
Preferences.app

(the number after the colon changes at every run)

custom kernel 2.6.6
locale fr_FR@euro (tried with locale unset as well)
all dependencies consistent with preferences deb package, v1.2.100-2
