Your debian/copyright is seemingly in the DEP-5 format, so generic 
parsers of Debian control files should be able to read it. However:

$ grep-dctrl '' debian/copyright > /dev/null
grep-dctrl: debian/copyright:11: expected a colon

Look like more packages in DPMT/PAPT have similarly buggy DEP-5
debian/copyright files; see the attached DD-list.
