IMHO old-versioned-python-dependency tag should be simply removed fromlintian. These dependencies can be valid even ifdh_py{central,support,thon2} is not used (debian-python@l.d.o CCed forconfirmation)

Agreed. old-version-python-dependency was meant to detect packages thathaven't yet been converted to so called "current Python policy". Thispolicy, however, is almost 5 years old. Currently all instances of thistag in the archive are false positives.
