Backporting to Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty) and 10.10 (Maverick) should be similar.  
Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid), the latest LTS release, does not have dh_python2, but a 
backport is being worked on so it should be easy enough to backport to soon.
