This has never been done in a practical way. The primary reason why this
doesn’t work is that it is a declarative field that so many packages get
wrong it is not possible to use it.

For the past python transitions that we had to handle, the
build-dependencies and dependencies turned out to contain much more
accurate information, although not complete.

Despite all your claims, X[SB]-Python-Version headers have never been
more than an implementation detail for python-central.
