memory usage profiling

Hi Debian Pythoners,

Is there any reasonable memory profiler for python?  a software I
maintain for Debian consumes surprisingly large chunk of virtual memory
without obvious necessity for such utilization. Could anyone point me to
some good resource on the subject?
