I agree that these arguments do not really fit our Free Software focus.

Yes. I hope you agree with my arguments[1] instead.

IMHO this comparison does not fit very well.  Non-free firmware is
affecting the installation experience of our users.  Using a non-free
platform that has lots of alternatives to get the same information
is different.

I do not think that the initial mail intended to follow that route.
It was a single contribution here on this list.

When the decision was made to join Twitter, it was based on valid
reasons at the time, and no GR was proposed.  However, circumstances
have since changed. The current Press delegates, who are responsible for
such decisions, now have the institutional authority to leave X. This
can be done without requiring a GR, as it mirrors the initial decision
to join. If anyone disagrees with this course of action, proposing a GR
would be the appropriate way to challenge it.
