We need to find a way to show authorship of the artwork that is present/inserted
in the bits.debian.org posts.
Pasting here an extract of conversation in IRC #debian-publicity, so it does not
get lost:
Currently attribution is in the image alt text (but that is only shown when the
image is not shown in some browsers) and full name + license in git.
Simply adding the person as one more author is not good because the authors get
links automatically but the string is taken as one author (see
https://bits.debian.org/author/ ).
Ideally it should be something that goes in the metadata of the post, and then
automatically written in the post.
Another approach is to add a few fields for every image/multimedia content in
every post and then a pelican plugin reads this like in the translations and
inserts the proper HTML when building the blog; it would need at least: author,
license, and caption: yes/no (not every image needs a caption with the author)
To take into account: a post can have more than one image, we might want the
plugin to do the translations automatically adding the "Image by" in all the
languages we usually translate but it also can default to English in a very
first initial version.
