I am not saying that the transfer of money should take place before the
tickets are purchased, just that it should happen a lot sooner (so that
sponsorees can estimate their costs with confidence, and so that
sponsors get more for their money) with the delay being as short as
possible, so that people are not out of pocket for any longer than is
necessary.

I suspect I am saying nothing new, and that for next year the organisers
can JFDI if the DPL gives his blessing. :-)
