Hello,
Debian consulting has been something on my mind recently, so this
topic is well timed.
After reading over the thread thus far, my thoughts are that the
requirement for being listed is a minimum of 2 or 3 means of
contact information of the consultant's choosing. Possibilities
could include street address, phone number, fax number, email,
or website. This allows for adequate reliability while not
forcing the consultant to have a web presence, or alternatively,
be forced to reveal specific location information on the web
listing. It would be up to the customer to decide whether they
wish to contact the consultant by the methods listed.
As already stated, being listed on the consultants page doesn't
explicitly provide Debian's endorsement of the consultant, with
that fact being made clear on the consultants page. As such,
the requirements I listed above seem appropriate for inclusion
on the listing.
