Debian is ready to move to new platforms when this happens.
In fact, Debian already runs on more than ten platforms.

It will not be a problem to port Linux/UNIX's to any new platforms
that appear.  In fact, historically Unix has been ported _to_ the PC.
It does not depend on the PC architecture in any way.
