This is not a good response. He's looking if he can help, and how he can
help. You're just explaining him how to get a Debian developer, but he
first needs to know why he would want to join Debian. He needs to find
some job to do within Debian (quality assurance, documentation, package
maintenance, boot-floppies, porter, whatever ...).
So what are your interests, skills and experience ?
