well, these are different "movements", we could say... the open source
movement wants technicaly good programs and nothing else... the
free software movement is worried about making a better society

but... this is theory and in real life this is not applying anymore,
in some ways...

basically a truly "free" software and a true "open source" software 
(as defined on the open source definition, wich was based on the
Debian Free Software Guidelines) are the same thing... you can name it 
whatever you want, I prefer 'free software'

I disagree, I think the most inportant thing is that it is "free",
that it enables me to study, modify and redistribute it, "open"
not always means I can modify/distribute...
