Thanks for the analysis.  FTR, python3 and xz-utils are needed because
/usr/lib/cups/driver/postscript-hp is a pyppd-compressed script.  It's a self-
expanding python script.

Hrm.  All that dependency chain is a mess.  I'm not sure _adding_ a dependency 
on cups makes any sense, unless filters from CUPS are actually needed.

I'll start with demoting printer-driver-postscript-hp's Depends on hplip to a 
Suggests, as that's a net improvement. :-)
