Package: libsane-hpaio
Version: 3.16.11+repack0-2
Severity: important

Hello,

Upgrading libane-hpaio (and hplip*, etc) to 3.16.11+repack0-2 makes the scanner
non-functional. (The same applies to 3.16.10+repack0-1 and 3.16.9+repack0-2).
Even if awahi-daemon is running the message is:
Failed to open hpaio:/net/HP_Color_Laserjet_MFP_M277DW?ip=194.168.1.4: Error
during device I/O.

Searching for the printer works (as well as the printer itself):
scanimage -L
device `hpaio:/net/HP_Color_LaserJet_MFP_M277dw?ip=192.168.1.4' is a Hewlett-
Packard HP_Color_LaserJet_MFP_M277dw all-in-one

Installed driver is:
hp-color_laserjet_pro_mfp_m277-ps.ppd.gz downloaded from HP.

Previous working version is: 3.16.7-1

Printer/Scanner/Copier/Faxer: Network connected HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M277dw
Tested software: scanimage, xscanimage, simple-scan

Your perseverence is appreciated. The plugin version hplip expects
from hplip.state should match the hplip version itself. See #879950.

/var/lib/hp/hplip.state is created when the plugin is installed or
reinstalled.

We appear to have achieved our objective, so I will close the report.
Thank you for your time and co-operation.

Regards,

Brian.
