Package: cups
Version: 1.7.5-11+deb8u1
Severity: normal

Hi,

This is something of an FYI, but could matter.

Upon upgrading to jessie I noticed that the box used for
print serving (not the box on which I am composing this
report) contained the following files in /etc/cups/:

mime.convs
mime.types
oopstops.convs
oopstops.types

And upon startup of cupsd I get lines like the following
in /var/log/cups/error_log:

E [13/Sep/2015:06:25:26 -0500] Filter "oopstops" not found.
E [13/Sep/2015:06:25:26 -0500] Filter "hpgltops" not found.
E [13/Sep/2015:06:25:26 -0500] Filter "pstoraster" not found.

I suspect that these files could cause problems. They do
not exist on "newer" systems of mine. The system in question
has been upgraded many times, perhaps since sarge.

Removing the files from /etc/cups/ eliminates the "not found"
lines in the error log.

See also bug #638933.
