What is the content of /etc/cups/client.conf and does it work if you replace
the hostname by its IP?

Also what version of CUPS is the server running?

Note that according to the changelog, "The default IPP version for requests is
now 2.0 (STR #3929)", so you need a recent-enough cups server. You can also
try to add '?version=1.0' to the device URI to use legacy compatibility mode.

Looking forward to your findings,

OdyX
