BTW, if I understand correctly, cups-browsed isn't necessary since
in my case, the server name is fixed in /etc/cups/client.conf and
the connection is done to this server as expected. The problem is
at the protocol level, possibly related to the encryption.
I've tried without cups-browsed, and I get the same problem.
