Please don't do that. As long as hplip is part of the default installation, this pollutes the main menu with a vendor-specific application with zero integration to the rest of the desktop. The default etch installation looks like an advertisement for HP, let's not extend this to lenny. If you install such a desktop file, I recommend that you add a "NotShowIn=KDE;GNOME" stanza so that it doesn't show up by default.
