Severity: normal

This package now has python-qt3 dependency which should only be
installed if hplip-gui is used.
The ubuntu version does not have this dependancy, nor does 2.7.10-1 in
experimental.

Adrian,

Thanks for your report, but I'm not sure why you think hplip now depends on
python-qt3. Certainly dpkg -p doesn't show it as a dependency (attached).
hplip does Recommend: hplip-gui which as Recommends are now installed by
default would pull in python-qt3, but you can safely remove, not install
python-qt3. Also http://packages.debian.org/sip/ hplip does show python-qt3
[not i386] but that's because hplip 1.6.10 does depend on p-qt3 and 2.7.10-2
hasn't been built for non i386 yet in unstable.

Could I ask you to followup using the reportbug package and that will outline
your dependencies.

Thanks,
Mark
