When adding a printer cups seems to add the current IP to some
configuration making it impossible to use that printer later.

Resulting in errors like when trying to access it as admin:

"
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access the resource on this server.
"

Creating a new printer just like it works, but it's very much a
solution. I currently have three identical printers due to have printed
with three different DHCP leases.

Unless telling the software anything else I would expect it to be setup
to work with localhost all the time.

Does this e-mail make sense at all?

I can no longer reproduce this. At least when adding a local usb
printer, the client ip address no longer appears in the configuration
files. Maybe the original setup was more complex. If someone is
subscribed to this bug because they experienced the same problem and
still does, feel free to re-open it.
