Package: cupsys
Version: 1.1.20final+cvs20040330-2
Severity: normal
My printer is an Apple laserwriter IIg, with apple's ppd file. The ppd
indicates that the printer supports level 2. When printing a ps file
containing a stringwidth command, the printer rejects the job with an
error.
The printing system should downconvert the file automatically. Manually
downconverting this file with pstops gives a new file that prints
without problem.

Unfortunately I don't have this printer any more and can't test whether the
bug is fixed.
Since nobody else reported a similar problem and seeing as you are
unable to verify whether this still applies, I will close this bug.
