Your HFS boot filesystem has errors and was mounted read-only.
You need to install hfsprogs, umount /boot/grub and then run "fsck.hfs /dev/sda2"
where (sda2) is the partition of your HFS filesystem. (All from memory, please
verify the actual paths are correct).
There are some bugs in the HFS/HFS+ driver in the Linux kernel which may have
caused this. These bugs are now being worked on by new maintainers [1].
