On the PPC64, I tested the installation on my PowerMac G5 and for the
first time, it went well!
Then, I have a blocking problem though, when Linux boots. I found that
it was related to the graphics card. In the X log, I get:
(II) LoadModule: "nouveau"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module nouveau
(EE) Failed to load module "nouveau" (module does not exist, 0)
And at the end:
(II) modesetting: Driver for Modesetting Kernel Drivers: kms
(II) FBDEV: driver for framebuffer: fbdev
(II) modeset(0): using drv /dev/dri/card0
(WW) Falling back to old probe method for fbdev
(II) Loading sub module"fbdevhw"
The fact is that I have no display.
Is there something to do to make Debian PPC to work with NVidia cards?
Or should I change for a Radeon one?
Thanks,
Mathias
Hello. I've got a working system with Nvidia on a powerMac g5. But I had to disable hardware acceleration. In boot parameters must add nouveau.noaccel=1
