I booted and installed from USB on my iBook G4 with the folowing:

boot usb0/disk@1:2,\\yaboot

With the USB stick inserted in the port closest to me. I used Etcher to
write the iso to USB. Booted without any extra fiddling, although
rather slow compared to booting from CD.
