I'm actually AFK now for the next 2 weeks, but I suspect the issue here is that David
is running the default QEMU PPC machine which is the G3 beige. If you want a New
World Mac then you'll need to run either:

   qemu-system-ppc -M mac99 ....

or:

   qemu-system-ppc -M mac99,via=pmu ...
