That precisely states you did not install it...
shouldn't firmware-misc-nonfree do it, without installing additional
stuff, like intel and amd packages which I do not need on my iBook?
If I remove firmware-misc-nonfree, then... I get this in dmesg:

suppose removing the package is the same as "renaming" the file

isn't it fine to just install firmware-misc-nonfree ?
Anyway, it seems that with or without... I get no WiFI :(
