Etch on G5: Yaboot problem still persists

I mailed this list a couple weeks ago about yaboot returning to a grey 
screen when I try to boot both OS X and Linux. Well, the problem is 
still there and I have been trying to fix it for a long time now. This 
is my yaboot.conf

boot=/dev/sdb2
device=/disk@0:
partition=4
root=/dev/sdb4
timeout=100
install=/usr/lib/yaboot
magicboot=/usr/lib/yaboot/ofboot
enablecdboot
macosx=/dev/sdb3

image=/boot/vmlinux
label=Linux

initrd=/boot/initrd.img

image=/boot/vimlinux.old
label=old
read-only
initrd=/boot/initrd.img.old

I asked in #debianppc and no one was able to figure out what is wrong, 
and the Forums were not of much help either
