OT: Debian on an iMac from the late 2006 (i386)?
Hello people,
I hope you'll excuse this off-topic thread, but this is the place I
know with the highest number of people that are likely use Debian
GNU/Linux on Apple computers.
I'm being persuaded into buying a second-hand iMac of the late 2006 by
a friend of mine, but before doing so I'd want to know how well
supported is that machine by Debian? Does all the hardware work with a
standard install, or is it some (or lots) work necessary to get it to
work? Has someone attempted this, and if so can you share your
experience?
